That was Corel's strategy with X6, clearly. With the introduction of Graphics Suite X6, Corel has significantly enhanced the competitive value of the package. Most of the 2012 version's improvements are in CorelDraw, the illustration program, but that's okay, seeing as it's the center and soul of the suite.
Corel usually jam-packs its products with bonus material in an attempt to boost the value proposition for consumers. This new version of the Graphics Suite is no exception. In addition to CorelDraw, it consists of Photo-Paint (a program for photo editing), Connect (an integrated browser for graphics files), and a full menu of further supporting applications. These include Website Creator (a drag-and-drop-style Web-site builder), PowerTrace (used to convert bitmap images into vector ones), Capture (a screen-capture utility), and Barcode Wizard (for, as you'd guess, generating barcodes). You also get a ton of royalty-free content in the box. The stash includes 10,000 clip-art images, 1,000 new high-resolution stock photos, 1,000 OpenType fonts, and hundreds of templates, frames, and patterns.
While the purchase of CorelDraw Graphics Suite X6 in any media (download or disc) includes this large library in the price, customers who buy the program via download will be shipped a DVD with all the content on it, at no charge. It’s just too much material to realistically work as a download. In addition, the Website Creator component is a second download that is available to you only after you register the program.
